Xinhua News Agency Beijing, April 2, the 129 th Canton Fair will be held online from April 15 to 24. Up to now, the exhibitors have uploaded nearly 2.63 million exhibits.

In an interview with the Chinese foreign trade center, the chief scholar's family Chu said in an interview Tuesday that the preparations for the Canton Fair were progressing smoothly, with a total of 60000 booths and 25000 domestic and foreign exhibitors. It is expected to attract buyers from more than 220 countries and regions around the world to attend the exhibition.

This is the third time that the Canton Fair has "made cloud". In the previous two "cloud wide exchanges", many foreign trade enterprises said that, compared with offline, "touch the net" brought more merchants to them. The scholar said that in special period, the holding of the fair on the Internet will help the majority of Chinese foreign trade enterprises to better grab orders and expand the market, stabilize the basic foreign trade market, and also help the supply chain of the global industrial chain stabilize and inject impetus for the world economic recovery.

The fair will set up 50 exhibition areas according to 16 major commodities, such as electronic appliances, machinery, building materials, daily consumer goods, home decoration, textile and clothing, and will also set up a special area of "Rural Revitalization", which will help enterprises in poverty-stricken areas to develop international markets. The special zone will open applications for more enterprises, without quantity limit, no threshold conditions, and continue to exempt the participation fees of relevant enterprises.

According to the introduction, since the 122nd session, the fair has provided 8105 free booths for 6084 enterprises in poor areas, reducing the booth fee by 86.69 million yuan, driving export turnover of more than 1.7 billion US dollars.

Founded in spring 1957, the fair is the largest, most comprehensive international trade exhibition with the longest history, largest scale, the most complete commodity types and the largest number of visitors. It is also known as "China's first exhibition", and also regarded as the "barometer" and "wind vane" of China's foreign trade.
